University of Southern California (USC) – Gould School of Law offers an online master of studies in law for students with a bachelor’s degree. The program requires 21 credit units and typically takes 12 months to complete.

The MSL does not offer concentrations, but instead offers six certificates:

  • Business Law Certificate
  • Compliance Certificate
  • Entertainment Law & Industry Certificate
  • Financial Compliance Certificate
  • Health Care Compliance Certificate
  • Human Resources Law and Compliance Certificate

The program aims to provide legal skills and knowledge that can be applied directly to advance your career and serve your organization. Students will engage in weekly live discussions facilitated by your professor. The USC online MSL provides a collaborative online classroom experience, with small classes that allow for greater student and faculty interaction. Students learn via interactive modules, message board participation, weekly assignments and virtual office hours. However, the classes are flexible and can be completed at one’s own pace. The MSL program provides a team of advisors to provide individualized guidance on course selection to meet your unique personal and career goals.

Concentrations: USC allows students to follow a general studies course plan and earn an MSL. Alternatively students may choose to pursue a certification in one of the following subjects:

  • Human Resources Law and Compliance

The certifications are awarded along with the MSL.
